Get back into better running shape.  Train to run a good 1/2 marathon sometime in the nearish future (no commitments yet)

Get into good shape and stay there.

I joined the 100 Days of Movement challenge on Facebook (thanks to Leslie's post about it).  I started today with a 2 mile walk with a little running on the treadmill.  It took me 34 min and I did one lap with arm weights.

good day - i got two miles in before i got to 30 min - 29.30 to be exact.  I did 1/2 lap intervals increasing the running speed each lap.

I have a kinked neck so it was a strictly walking day on the treadmill. 30 min.

Felt really good to get back to moving today after missing Sat and Sun.

I got in 2 miles in 30.15 and then did another lap.  Ran like 3/4 lap and then walked and repeat with warm up and cool down.

Total guess on mileage.  Probably not that far.  I finally made it out of the house to exercise.  At 4 pm.  I went over to the rec center and did about 10 min on the eliptical and then about 20 min in the weight room.  It felt good, esp to do something different.

Back to the treadmill this morning.  Did a speed play program - walk 2 min at 4.0 mph then 3 min at 3.5 mph for 30 min.

really great run today.  i ran a lap/then walked a lap.  got to 2miles before 30 min -just barely.  i tested out how far i have to go to really be running a 5k in 30 min. i've got a long way to go.  i finished the last 1/2 lap running at 6.0 mph and i about died. how do people run faster than that??

Did hill repeats on the treadmill today - 1/2 lap increasing the incline then 1/2 lap increasing the speed with no incline. 30 min.

WHat a great run!  AFter being up late  Fri night I was determined to still get up and run this morning.  course i just finished a little after 10 so i did sleep in.

i did 3/4 lap run and walk 1/4 lap. each lap i increased my speed and finished the last lap at 5.5  felt great and no pains.  i did 2 miles in 28:30!

finally made it to the treamdmill a little after noon today.  i was super stressed and frustrated so it was a good run and definitely helped me to calm down and think things thru.

ran a lap and then walked a min (1/4 lap)  each lap increased my speed.  finished 2 miles in 28:10!

I got a late start and only got in 20 min on the treadmill.  I was plenty active the rest of the day cleaning at my mom's and working on our project.

it was a walking day mostly - fast speed. then finished up running 3/4 mile without stopping at all. total time was 32 min.
